It might be another ten months before we see this show but FOX and Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan's upcoming horror anthology series, Scream Queens has it's leading ladies for it's 15 episode first season.
The ladies in question leading the show are Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis. While their roles have yet to be disclosed, both women do have their horror credential. Curtis is infamous for her role as Laurie Strode in four of the eight original Halloween movies while Roberts played the killer in Scream 4 and has been in the last two seasons of Murphy's other anthology horror series, American Horror Story.
The first season of the series will revolve around the murders of a college campus and presumably both Roberts and Curtis's characters will be integral in solving the murders as the season progress. Like Gotham, the series went past the usual pilot stage and got a straight to order season instead. With Glee finishing up and American Horror Story entering it's fifth season by the time Scream Queens arrives on screen, it'll be interesting to see how the show fares. The fact that Murphy managed to get Curtis though is already a big draw for me.

Jamie Lee Curtis! Star power!
ReplyDeleteCurtis is great casting for this show. I'll give Ryan Murphy his due - he sure knows how to get some incredible actors on his shows.
