With the exclusion of Alexander Skarsgard, pretty much the whole cast along with Alan Ball and Charlaine Harris were at this year's event, citing spoilers for the remaining seven episodes of Season 3. Hence the caps from this trailer.
Bill (Stephen Moyer) finds himself a little tied up by Lorena and while it's looking likely that she's set to die soon enough, Bill's relationship with Sookie is certainly doomed. Which will inevitably lead the way for either Alcide or Eric to get the telepath. Jason (Ryan Kwanten) and Crystal (Lindsay Pulsipher) seem to have a forbidden relationship of sorts. Book wise, we already know that Crystal's a werepanther and spoilers in recent weeks indicate that Jason is going to go against her nasty uncle Calvin in the next few weeks as well.
Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Alcide (Joe Manganiello) are certainly getting closer, much to the displeasures of Bill, Eric and psychotic Debbie Pelt (Brit Morgan). I'll be genuinely surprised if Sookie/Alcide actually do become a couple and personally, it might not be a bad idea if they do for the time being.
Still both Debbie and Lorena can bond over their hatred of Sookie and the fact that both women are seen in the trailer as trying to kill her. Debbie with a pack of wolves at her side (following Cooter's death, as Alcide's also on her hitlist) and Lorena with fangs. I'm not sure which lady succeeds (if anyone of them do) but Sookie is seen comatose at the end of the trailer as well.
Which leads to the introduction of one of my favourite characters in the books, Claudine (Lara Pulver), who seems to be speaking in her natural British accent and her arrival also will seem to give us more on Sookie's abilities. Other spoilers that have been flying around are Russell getting revenge for Talbot's death, Franklin's exit, Lafayette/Tara's family darkness, Sam's scumbag parents exploiting Tommy, Sophie-Anne and Pam in respective dangers, Nan Flanagan investigating the Magister's disappearance, Jessica/Hoyt reuniting, the introduction of witches with the arrival of Holly in Merlotte's, more on Hadley and the season ending with Eric in a memory wiped state. Boy, this season really is going to be busy, huh?
