My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x15: "Stay"

Written  by Pete Nowalk
Directed by Stephen Cragg

Annalise (to the jury): "Who I am is a 53 year old woman from Memphis, Tennessee named Anna Mae Harkness. I'm ambitious, black, bisexual, angry, sad, strong, sensitive, scared, fierce, talent, exhausted and I am at your mercy."

Six seasons, 90 episodes, an unlikely chance of a movie (had to throw in that Community reference) and it came to this. I could've quoted that entire courtroom speech but the tail end really drove home everything we've known about Annalise over the last six seasons.

I don't think it's a shock that Annalise got off free and nor is it a bad thing. In spite of her cover ups, she's never killed a single person on the show and she certainly didn't deserve prison. Annalise's empowered speech along with several things falling into place (Nate's change of heart, a certain flashdrive and Wes's testimony falling into her hands) all played their part along with the jury showing mercy as well.

Annalise being free though didn't mean there weren't consequences for everyone else. Someone important had to die in this last episode and it seemed only appropriate that both Frank and Bonnie would end up dead trying to protect Annalise and each other. Their deaths got to me, but at the same time I don't hold it against the show for doing it.

As for Connor - he came close to avoiding actual prison time but his conscience got the better of him and he refused to let Oliver go against Annalise. A good thing as Annalise would've eviscerated Oliver on the stand. It's also nice to see that the relationship survived as the last few minutes pushed things into the far future.

Michaela on the other hand - she avoided prison time, but lost her friendships even if she did go on to have a career and children. Not much was revealed about Laurel post trial, but it seems that Alfred Enoch was playing an older Christopher after all and he ended up assuming Annalise's former position with a lovely last scene that echoed the first ever scene of the scene.

The flashforward method seems to have become a very popular series finale staple since Six Feet Under did it back in 2005 and while some of the makeup on the cast looked dodgy, the funeral scenes for Annalise (who lived a mostly good life, post trial, even having Tegan at some point) were beautifully done.

I'm glad that we got to see the likes of Ophelia, Celestine and Eve once more in the series and while I wished the show had properly gone there with Annalise and Tegan, I am glad that they stayed in each others lives. I'm not gonna lie, I did tear up a little during the final few scenes. Annalise might have been a messy character, but isn't that why we loved her so much? Viola Davis nailed this role from start to finish.

- Apparently there was meant to be a scene with Asher in this episode, but it was cut for time.
- We didn't find out what happened with Gabriel after he took the money Frank gave him. Both Nate and Tegan were at the funeral but their scenes were also cut.
- Standout music: Matt Maeson's Dancing After Death during the last moments of this episode.
- Chronology: A three day period over the trial scenes before jumping over thirty years into the future for Annalise's funeral.

Stay definitely has earned a place for me as one of the strongest series finale I've seen on. It's not new in terms of it's use of flashforwards, but it's affecting in the right moments and offered a more than satisfying conclusion to this show, with all it's imperfections and twists and turns. Ending it here was the right thing to do. It's been an interesting journey but this is the perfect end for it.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x14: "Annalise Keating Is Dead"

Written by Sarah L. Thompson & Tess Leibowitz
Directed by John Terlesky

Bonnie: "Frank, Hannah. She and Sam had a baby. A boy."

We're at the second last ever episode of this series and things really went up a good few notches here. I just knew that there would have to be a surprise obstacle to come Annalise's way at her trial and I also knew that when it looked like things were going to go her way, something would go horribly wrong.

Surprise obstacle number one being the return of Laurel, who Langford also had in mind to testify against Annalise along with Connor and Michaela. Laurel betraying Annalise was less surprising than Connor and Michaela if we're being honest here. It's also not surprising that she'd use Christophe to justify her actions, which Michaela had no problem calling out.

Of course, it didn't take too much for Annalise to actually get to Laurel and have the latter come to her way of thinking and by doing that, not only did we see Connor and Michaela fall apart on the stand but they also quickly turned on one another when Michaela let slip she got a better deal. Looks like Connor will be going to jail after all then.

The trial itself was a highlight of the episode. From Annalise's preparation on how to present herself to a jury of her peers to the fact that she was forced to represent herself when Tegan got her struck off the case. I know how this ends for Annalise but right now, it's not looking good for her.

Her hopes of getting Hannah on side clearly went to hell the moment Bonnie confessed to Frank about his true parentage. Annalise believed that Hannah's "suicide" was at the behest of Birkhead but it's looking very likely that either Frank or Gabriel (the latter being furious with Michaela's lies on the stand). I'm going with Frank on this one as it's still too late in the day to try and make audiences give a damn about Gabriel.

- I can't believe ABC allowed Viola Davis to say "assholes" in this episode. That made the episode feel a little naughtier.
- Nate manipulated Jorge into going against Birkhead while Xavier's body was discovered. Tegan really wasn't holding back on her big old crush on Annalise either.
- Standout music: Chris Garneau's Little While.
- Chronology: Not long from where the previous episode left off. Laurel has also been living in Brooklyn for a year.

Annalise Keating Is Dead - maybe, maybe not, at least not yet. This episode definitely packed a punch with the opening scene, all the trial bits and the final moment. I can't believe there's one more episode. I'm gonna miss this crazy but I don't doubt the last one will hit the hardest.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x13: "What If Sam Wasn't The Bad Guy This Whole Time?"

Written by Ricardo C. Lara
Directed by Dawn Wilkinson

Tegan: "Who was born in March, Annalise?"
Tegan/Bonnie: "Who is it?"
Annalise: "Frank!"

Okay, I'm gonna say it - one this was too obvious a reveal and two, it's way too late in the day to be doing this kind of storyline. Serously Frank is the love child of Hannah and Sam? I guess it explains a lot but it's still an unsatisfying and unnecessary plot with only two episodes left to.

What was even more strange was during the inclusion of the flashbacks and present day antics was that Hannah didn't appear once. I mean, she could still appear next week but it seemed off that we didn't see her in some capacity. Still though, even if that flashback to Annalise's incest barb from the first season, which I had forgotten about, this was disappointing in terms of reveals.

On the plus side, at least Vivian wasn't lying and came across better in both the present day stuff and the flashbacks with Sam and Gabriel. She also saw through Sam in a way that Annalise hadn't at the time and it seems like she'll succeed in getting Gabriel to leave as well, so it's a plus all round.

Speaking of the flashbacks - we saw Sam attempt an affair with Vivian before the latter rejected him, argue with Annalise over their grief for their child as well as sabotage Frank and Bonnie's blossoming relationship while having the implication that Hannah coerced Sam into a sexual relationship that resulted in a pregnancy.

I feel this episode was trying to give Sam a bit of a free pass when it came to his reprehensible behaviour and I really didn't like that. Sam has never been a sympathetic character and this episode certainly failed to generate any sympathy for him. In general, I don't care about Sam and this new reveal feels like a massive case of "too late" as we're late in the game and have other things that matter.

Speaking of which, it seems like Connor took himself a new deal with a rather annoyed Agent Lanford applying the pressure to both him and Michaela. I'm not sure if the latter also agreed to a new deal but I assume that she did though. Nate also managed to get himself an advantage by ratting Pollock out to the FBI as well as holding the cards over Frank with Xavier's boy to boot. That's also rather annoying.

- Annalise was also doing some investigating into Wes/Christophe during the flashback sequence this week.
- I notice that Sam is the only character who doesn't look noticeably different in the flashbacks.
- Standout music: Unsecret's Fallout during the last few minutes of this one.
- Chronology: 2005 for the flashbacks. We also found that Sam and Hannah's parents have been dead since 1993.

What If Sam Wasn't The Bad Guy This Whole Time? wasn't quite as good as the previous episodes and this plotline with Frank was something that should've been done earlier in the show's timeline. It feels too late to be doing it now and while the flashbacks were decent, it felt like filler overall.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x12: "Let's Hurt Him"

Written by Daniel Robinson & Matthew Cruz
Directed by Janice Cooke

Nate: "So you ready to lose your father?"
Xavier: "He deserves it."
Nate: "I agree. Let's hurt him."

I swear if there was an award for the dumbest character on this show as we head into these last few episodes, then Nate would get the damn prize. And yes, I'm aware of other character stupidity but Nate really made things more complicated for everyone.

Let's talk about Xavier Castillo for a moment though. He's cute, the actor playing him is decent enough but he's also an insecure man with severe daddy issues and a father who will always prefer Laurel over him.

This episode alone Frank had kidnapped Xavier and got him to confess about working with Agent Pollock (who seems to have escaped her just desserts for the time being). Frank also managed to do that without doing too much damage to Xavier, which I guess was different for Frank. Maybe Bonnie has been a good influence on him after all.

Then Frank made the mistake of getting Nate involved. By giving Nate access to Xavier, it was a way to get him back onto Annalise's side and take away another obstacle in her upcoming trial. Nate got the answers about his father's death that he needed (we knew it was going to be Birkhead on that one) and should've left Xavier alive. I think Nate was going to until Xavier opened his mouth about his own father and therefore sealed his doom at the hands of Nate.

With another mess for Annalise to clean up that could get her sent down, this week also saw Deanna Montes (that lawyer who has been in the last few episodes) try and get the death penalty on Annalise. The team up with Tegan and Annalise wisely recording her conversation with Connor and Michaela managed to spare her that fate along with a much timed television appeal for good measure.

As for the likes of Connor, Michaela and Oliver - they went from disbelieving Gabriel to trying to sell him out to Annalise (who spared outing him to the FBI) while also admitting their own transgressions to Annalise as well. Either way, things are probably not too great for them.

Last but not least, I wasn't really expecting a return from Vivian but between her trying to protect Gabriel again, she did leave a hell of a creepy hint to Annalise about Sam and Hannah. Did those two actually have an incestuous relationship? That last moment seemed to imply it.

- A few flashbacks to scenes from the first two seasons with the show, mulling over the Hannah bits. I'm guessing we will see her before the show ends.
- Tegan's reference to Game Of Thrones was cute but clumsy. Robert wasn't wrong about her feelings for Annalise but even then, Tegan proved that she was the best person to help Annalise.
- This is the first episode of the series not to feature Asher at all.
- Chronology: From where the previous episode left off.

Let's Hurt Him took the need for justice and revenge to a new level with Nate's swift killing of Xavier. It also saw Annalise get out of one big problem, despite her trial continuing to loom over while setting up another plot I'm not entirely sure we need this late in the game.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x11: "The Reckoning"

Written by Inda Craig-Galvan
Directed by DeMane Davis

Gabriel (to Michaela/Connor/Oliver): "I know who killed Asher."

With four episodes left to go, I am really glad that this show did not decide to prolong this particular mystery. First of all, Asher's killer wasn't a main character but rather an FBI agent named Pollock who seems to be working for Xavier Castillo. However Gabriel did believe it was actually Laurel until he clapped eyes on Pollock and immediately told the remaining Keating kids.

It does feel like the show at this point is trying to keep Gabriel relevant enough to the main plot, even though he should've left last season but at least he did the right thing by telling Connor, Oliver and Michaela about Asher's killer while they mourned their former friend's life and felt guilty over their last moments with him before he died.

The flashbacks succeeded in eliciting sympathy for Asher as he recorded an apology to his friends before Pollock killed him. Going by the trailer for the next episode, it also seems that we're not going to have to wait long for Asher's death to also be avenged either, which is nice.

As for the gang - yup, Annalise found out about the deal that they took and the show didn't waste time with that confrontation either. I think points were made from both sides here, even if I still did side with Annalise just that little bit more. I also wasn't surprised that Nate also screwed Annalise over as well.

The best part of this episode was Annalise's scenes with Ophelia. Every time this show brings Cicely Tyson for an episode, it's a delight and yet again, there was some brilliant moments with Annalise and Ophelia, such as the latter finding out about her daughter's relationship with Eve and of course, turning on Nate too. I'm really glad that ship has been completely burned as we head into the remaining episodes of the season.

As for Bonnie and Frank, both of them were thinking about their own skins and you can't really blame them. However neither of them actually did anything there and pledged their loyalty to Annalise as the three held firm here.

- This episode apparently was the last one to feature Matt McGorry, even though he filmed a scene for the series finale that was cut for time.
- The show really does seem to be hinting at a potential pairing with Annalise and Tegan.
- Standout music: Ursine Vulpine's Do You Realise?
- Chronology: Over a week since the events of the previous episode.

The Reckoning definitely saw Annalise coming out swinging here and like I said, her scenes with both Tegan and Ophelia were the highlights along with the continued references to the chain of events that have led to this moment. With the mystery of Asher's killer revealed, it's time to see what happens next.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x10: "We're Not Getting Away With This"

Written by Tess Leibowitz
Directed by Sheelin Choksey

Connor: "I'm only signing if you agree to one more term. Michaela gets the same protections I do, even if she doesn't sign."

I know, it's been over a month since the series has ended and I've been busy with other things but catching up with the final six episodes of this series, things got off to an interesting start with this particular episode.

So let's recap: back at the end of 2019, it turned out that Asher was killed after being outed as a mole, Connor and Michaela looked like they were about to take the rap for his death and Annalise had left the country. Of course with this show, there's always a few twists to contend with.

Sticking with Connor and Michaela first, this episode easily could've set them against one another but it shows how far both characters have come that they had the same idea and ensured they both got the same protection when signing a new deal. Will they actually betray Annalise? It's possible but I'm betting another twist will emerge on that front.

I'm glad that both Connor and Michaela chose not to listen to either Oliver or Solomon and went with their own instincts here. Fortunately for both of them, it's paying off for now but again, I do see some jail time coming their way as the net has definitely closed in on them.

Speaking of nets closing in, I knew Annalise was going to get caught but I thought it would happen a little later into the latter half of this season. I don't think she made it one day in Mexico before effectively putting herself in the way of being arrested but I assume there will also be a few more twists there too.

Keeping with the twists, this episode didn't really give much in the way of clues as to who killed Asher. We got some more flashbacks with him and while both Bonnie and Frank were acting shady as anything, it's fairly safe to assume that neither of them will ultimately be involved in Asher's actual death. I do however think that Gabriel knows more than he's letting on, considering that it appears he was the last person to see Asher alive.

- I recognised Annalise's handler as Iyari Limon, who played Kennedy in the last season of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
- Tegan wasn't pleased with Annalise's disappearance, Nate was annoying in the little screen time he had and even Connor's mother was a bit OTT at times here too.
- Standout music: Lux's Yesterday's Wake and Seven Of Cups Strange Unknown.
- Chronology: More or less from where the mid season finale had left off.

We're Not Getting Away With This opened up the remaining episodes to this final season on a great note. Annalise's scenes were short but the moments with Connor and Michaela and the Asher flashbacks more than kept things moving along nicely.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x09: "Are You The Mole?"

Written by Maisha Closson
Directed by Stephen Cragg

Mourner: "And now we invite all those who would like to come up and share their own thoughts, memories and prayers for Annalise."

Oh boy. This was a doozy and a half, wasn't it? I have to admit that I have not been as focused on this mole stuff as I should've been because to be brutally honest, it should've been obvious that it was going to be Asher and this episode certainly revealed it all in glorious detail before Asher ended up being dead.

I'm not surprised that Connor and Michaela reacted the way they did and I'm not surprised that the FBI used Asher's family to get him to betray the gang but Oliver hitting him with a fire poker did throw me off. Oliver has been acting erratic all season long and this was a way to make him look guilty as we'd later discover that Asher would be murdered by someone else with a fire poker and left outside Gabriel's.

Right now, the obvious suspects are Frank and Bonnie and given that Asher essentially blamed Annalise for everything, it would make sense for either one of them to do the deed. Then there's also Nate, but he was mostly too mad at Annalise and even tried to attack before relenting and hoping that he would there when Annalise got sent down. There's six episodes left, so can we please get rid of him, show?

With Nate being a general pest this week and both Bonnie and Frank on damage control duties with the kids and Gabriel, this episode also saw Annalise making the tentative moves to get out of the mess that is her life, which included a nice emotional moment with her mother on the phone and a faculty party scene with Tegan before giving her students a rather on the nose speech about being better people.

Annalise might have left this episode on a plane but the damage is pretty big in her wake. Asher's dead, both Connor and Michaela are suspects, Oliver is feeling guilty, Gabriel could be framed for a crime he didn't commit by Frank and Bonnie and Nate's off being angry somewhere. Oh, what else happened then because surely the above mentioned isn't enough, yeah?

Let's see - we opened the episode with our mostly strung out Keating 4 getting some Facetime from Laurel, who managed to reveal that Tegan helped her escape and in flash forwards, we saw a mysterious man at Annalise's "funeral", played by Alfred Enoch. Either Wes didn't die, has a twin or clone or we're really ahead in the future and it's a grown up Christophe (the likeliest option) but we're going to waiting for the remaining six episodes before we get solid answers to that one.

- I kind of thought both Robert and Solomon would've factored into this episode but I guess both will likely reappear in the latter half of the season.
- Lot of interesting flashbacks to previous episodes during the final sequence this week. Also a pity we didn't get to see Ophelia on screen but the phone message was a nice moment nonetheless.
- Standout music: Les Friction's Dark Matter.
- Chronology: The night before Graduation for the Keating 4. The show will return for it's final six episodes in April 2020.

Are You The Mole is easily the strongest episode of the season and certainly upped the ante. I really do hope when the show returns in the Spring, it will end the series on a satisfying note. Asher's death certainly provides great drama for the remaining six episodes and I'm curious whether we're seeing an alive Wes (???) or an older Christophe.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x08: "I Want To Be Free"

Written by Hadi Nicholas Deeb
Directed by Alrick Riley

Mystery Caller (to Annalise): "Once you arrive, we'll call you with further instructions."

And we have it or do we? Going by the flash forward, it actually did look like Annalise was finally done with everything and was about to fake her death and get the hell out of there. However going by the trailer for the mid season finale, something else could be happening as well.

As for present day stuff, we got the whole Nate vs. Birkhead trial with Bonnie quickly being taken out of the mix as the former's lawyer and Tegan stepping in with some shadowing from Annalise on the snarky front. Then the case resulted in Jorge being publicly outed as a murderer and Birkhead having to do some damage control.

Of course this happened after Bonnie had to suffer from making herself rather known and ended up in a car accident, resulting her in being rather mad with Frank and Annalise once she was aware that her boyfriend really was an innocent man after all. Bonnie certainly didn't catch a break in this episode.

Speaking of breaks, Asher thankfully did get one this week. Sure, things with him and Michaela are still on shaky-ish ground thanks to Gabriel being a dick but at least he was able to solve the Snow White case and bag himself a nice cheque to boot. By the way, I thought the use of that particular thought experiment was pretty clever and worked well in the overall episode.

As for the rest of the gang - the sooner both Nate and Gabriel are gone, the better. Why any of the others bother with them at this point beggars belief. Michaela certainly let Gabriel cloud her judgement a bit too much this episode but Tegan was on fine form yet again.

Then there was Connor and Oliver. Even though we didn't get follow up on last week's flash forward with the latter, I did like that the elephant in the room was addressed with Connor's confession. Both Connor and Oliver made some fair points about the situation at hand as well.

- Just realised that the Snow White case was a bit of a metaphor for what Annalise is clearly planning to do.
- Oliver with the puppy party. The obvious highlight of the episode of course.
- The first episode this season not to address Laurel in any way at all. I guess we've finally moved on from her.
- Chronology: A week before the events of the mid season finale.

I Want To Be Free is a solid if not spectacular lead in to the mid series finale. I did like the use of the Snow White case, more backstory for Tegan and it was nice to see Asher get a win as well this week. I just hope they pull off this final mystery satisfyingly though.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x07: "I'm The Murderer"

Written by Laurence Andries
Directed by Lily Mariye

Oliver: "I'm the murderer, arrest me!"

Well, I didn't expect that flashforward moment at all, no I did not. So is the mostly innocent Oliver Hampton a killer? According to his outburst that even Frank couldn't stifle at the police station, it would appear so but with two episodes left until the mid season finale, there's of course going to be some twist or simply Oliver's actions playing a role in the "death" rather than him having actual blood on his hands.

Yes, seven episodes in and I'm still skeptical as anything about Annalise actually dying. I still just don't believe it's actually going to happen and these flash forwards continue to convince me more and more that it's fake out but whether or not everyone else is in the dark or playing along with Annalise, I'm still not so sure on.

In the present day though, Oliver finally found out that Connor was the one to dismember Sam's body after Asher had brought up that there were things about that night he didn't know. We didn't really get to see Oliver react to that monumental bit of information due to the flash forward but I'm sure it's going to be an interesting one when we get to the next episode.

This episode to it's credit had a lot more going for it than the last few had. First of all, we saw Annalise reluctantly go on a date with Robert from three episodes ago and while it took her a while to get used to it, they had some nice scenes together.

Of course when Annalise wasn't getting her love life on track, she was also voicing disapproval over Frank's interest in Bonnie when she wasn't getting the latter to scare Tegan off helping Nate a little. Then there was the return of Governor Birkhead, who now has Bonnie in her sights, so that will probably wind up in disaster for the latter as well, despite being warned off by Frank.

Elsewhere in this episode, the main case revolved around a closeted gay man shooting a student and it was certainly one of the more complex cases the show has done this season. I did like the involvement of Asher and Gabriel (and that was miles better than their pettiness over Michaela), even if the result was still the teacher being sent to prison for 25 years.

- We got a rundown of some of more Connor's pre series sexual history during one scene in this episode.
- It was pretty obvious that the woman at the start of this episode was going to be a spy.
- We also saw Gabriel looking up a handgun. He did seem surprised when he learned that Annalise and Sam lost a baby.
- Chronology: A month from where the previous episode left off.

I'm The Murderer again is not a hugely plot advancing episode and with two left before the show takes it's winter break, we really do need to get on with things. The main case was great though and there were still plenty of lovely character bits but let's see how these flash forwards really play out without the misdirect now.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x06: "Family Sucks"

Written by Vanessa James Benton
Directed by Laura Innes

Asher (to Michaela): "You were right, families suck."

Well, Asher's certainly do and given the way things predictably soured in this episode, I take it this will be the last we'll be seeing of his sister and mother for a bit, yeah? It started moderately okay with some Irish dancing and Chloe dancing with Connor before ending with the reveal that Asher's mother still blames him for his father's death.

I can't say I'm surprised by the turn of events really and it did serve as enough of a plot device to get Asher and Michaela to reconnect and sleep together as well. I should be a tiny bit bothered that Michaela is cheating on Gabriel with Asher but that would imply that I care about Gabriel as a character and I really don't.

When Michaela wasn't sleeping with Asher, snarking about how Connor made his way into the K5 or briefly giving Chloe the benefit of the doubt she was mostly mad at her father and Annalise and pretty told Solomon to stay away from her but the chances of that actually happening seem to be very unlikely given that he's being set up as too prominent a character this season to quickly written out - unlike Vivian and Asher's family.

Then there's the Connor bit of the episode. Bonnie's reasons for picking him did make sense but it still surprised me given as we've not had that many nice scenes between Bonnie and Connor during the show's run. Bonnie also cooled things a little with Frank (who seems to be serious in his profession of love to her) and she was there to comfort a bloodied Asher during the last scene so that's another would be suspect to mull over until the mid season finale reveal.

As for the rest of the episode - hats off to Cora for outsmarting Nate and essentially choosing to help Tegan over him. I think Tegan had every right to be mad at Nate but the fact that she's willing to help him get justice for his dad in spite of his obsessively annoying towards her does show that Tegan is the better person.

- Did the show really have to go down the predictable route of having Annalise and Solomon go with a romantic past? Annalise now has the alias of Justine Brooks for when she flees the country.
- This episode was directed by Laura Innes, who should be returning to the series as Governor Birkhead.
- Oliver had little to do other than look after Frank for about a scene. Annalise also tried to file a restraining order against the Castilos.
- Chronology: From where the previous episode left off.

Family Sucks at least gave us closure on the mystery of why Connor was selected for the Keating 5 and threw another good but inevitably misleading flash forward moment. I guess I'm happy that Tegan managed to get one over on Nate and I do like Solomon but right now, it feels like we're treading water til the mid series finale.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x05: "We're All Gonna Die"

Written by Sara Rose Feinberg
Directed by Felix Alcala

Bonnie (to Annalise): "He was saying Laurel to you because you helped her disappear."

Ah, yes, of course Annalise helped Laurel disappear or at least that was what Xavier was trying to get Frank to believe between the beatings the latter endured this episode in flashbacks. Needless to say that while frank certainly had a rough time, he did make it out of the episode alive and even admitted his feelings to Bonnie.

I'm not sure how I feel about this one. Maybe frank does genuinely have feelings for Bonnie, maybe it's something else but can we please put this Laurel plot to bed if Karla Souza isn'r returning at all? There's enough going on at the moment that I'm not really sure we need more of the Castilos of it's not needed for this final season.

Between Frank getting his beatings, Annalise found herself a little strapped for cash from her secret account and she decided to turn in a favour from Solomon and the latter did not seem pleased with having to pay Annalise. Then again this wasn't the first time he found himself having to pay out as things soured with Michaela a little quicker than expected.

I did like Michaela's scenes with Solomon this week and while I wasn't surprised that the latter would disappoint her further, I was surprised that it happened so fast. Michaela had some great moments in this episode along with the way she was able to read Asher's sister as well.

Speaking of Chloe - I can safely say that I don't like her. She seemed to have no problem with undermining Asher at every turn and planting down in the friendships he's built over the last few years and I wouldn't be shocked if Chloe and the mother had their own reasons for getting Asher away from the rest of the Keating gang so to speak.

Then there's Tegan. In flash forwards we learned that she was alive and well and not the informant while in the present day, she had some wonderful scenes with Annalise and her ex-wife. I have to admit that Cora did come across as a bit cold during the divorce proceedings and I'm not looking forward to the inevitable team up with Cora and Nate, mainly as the latter's vendetta towards Tegan has gotten as tiresome as Gabriel blaming Annalise for his father being a cheater and so on.

- No main case of the week but we did have Robert send Annalise some flowers and Tegan didn't exactly hold back on her jealousy there.
- Oliver admitted to helping Frank find Laurel and there's growing conflict with him and Connor.
- Theories on who took Annalise's money anyone? Gonna go with Xavier for now.
- Chronology: From where the previous episode left off.

We're All Gonna Die is something of a step up from the previous few episodes. It's nice we're ruling out various people in the flash forwards and the conflict with Connor/Oliver is interesting enough. There was a large emphasis on Tegan, which also helped this one.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x04: "I Hate The World"

Written by Matthew Cruz
Directed by Scott Printz

Annalise: "It's messy. I'm messy ... Broken."
Robert: "We all are. Doesn't mean I don't want to know you."

I was hoping that if Annalise was going to get a love interest in this final season, it would be with Tegan and while that still could probably, it seems for now the show will be pairing her with a male lawyer named Robert Hsieh (Cas Anvar) and so far, he intrigues me as a character.

Their meeting came about in a slightly ridiculous but still pointed case involving an incel not getting any from a dating app and the creator of said app using the algorithms for her own self serving purposes (as well as the government's). Parts of the story weren't great but I did love Annalise pointing out to Carl that he wasn't the only one who had to deal with rejection just because he was disabled.

Getting back to Robert - this episode gave us quite the information dump on him. In the space of a few scenes we learned that he's a Trekkie, has bad credit, is lactose intolerant and hopes that Annalise didn't kill her husband. He also seems like a nice guy genuinely interested in Annalise so here's hoping he's not working with the FBI, winds up evil or dead in the next few episodes.

As for Tegan this week we learned that she had an investment from her days with the Castillos that she was willing for Cora to keep but between Annalise and Bonnie's various words of wisdom, she was also willing to finally end her marriage with her estranged wife for good. I also liked that Bonnie seemed to be on Tegan's side and quickly clocked that Nate was in contact with the FBI as well.

Then there's the Michaela plot. Taking all the Gabriel scenes and his nasty scene with Annalise where he blamed her for Sam yet again, it was nice to see Michaela actually make contact with her father, Solomon Vick (Ray Campbell) and for the two of them to direct face each other head on. It's pretty interesting that this episode decided to add three new characters into the mix. Leading to my next bit of course.

Remember how I've been saying that Asher desperately needed a plot this season? It looks like the writers agree too as not only did he help with the main case this week and question whether or not he was a baby Incel but his sister Chloe (Kelen Coleman) has appeared and Asher doesn't seem that happy to see her for some reason.

Last but not least, we had a three way plot with Connor and Oliver, which to be honest, I'm not that bothered with. However, this episode Oliver seemed to be acting pretty erratic and I'm curious if that's supposed to be leading to something not good in the next few episodes.

- Frank appeared at the end of the episode, badly beaten so that didn't drag out either.
- Solomon does look a little young to be Michaela's father as some people have noted.
- Eve was mentioned a few times in this episode so I'm wondering if we'll see her again this season.
- Chronology: Not long from where the previous episode left off. Michaela overheard Connor freaking out in the other room in the flash forwards.

I Hate The World had it's piece on dating apps, rejection, introduced three interesting new characters and moved the flash forward to the start of the episode. It also kept the Laurel stuff to one scene and we got some sexy three way times, so yeah, this one was goodie.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x03: "Do You Think I'm A Bad Man?"

Written by Daniel Robinson
Directed by Catriona McKenzie

Detective (to Connor): "You did this. Tell us why?"

Last week's flash forward ended with Michaela being a suspect in Annalise's "murder" (yes, note I'm still skeptical on that actually being a thing), so this week the focus turned on to Connor being a potential killer with the last moment resulting in him having one hell of a panic attack.

I've seen some people wonder if Connor was faking that in order to buy some time but it looked pretty genuine to me and he does have a history of freaking out when the shit really hits the fan. Now, do I believe he killed Annalise - of course not, but let's see how this plays out nonetheless.

As for the present day - Connor took some risky steps to reunite Hector with his mother, got into trouble with ICE and it was up to both Tegan and Bonnie to help him get the result he wanted but overall, it was a good storyline for him this episode, given that we got very little screen time with Connor and Oliver this week.

Keeping with the cases, Michaela managed to guilt trip Annalise into giving her a big one, involving the grieving woman of a man who was shot during a botched robbery. The woman in question wasn't massively sympathetic and both Michaela and Gabriel nearly lost the case before Annalise managed to steer things around.

Speaking of Michaela, her anger towards Annalise did seem to calm down a bit but then Gabriel had to go and reveal that her father was actually the lawyer rather than the client and in a slightly more predictable turn of events, might not be dead after all. Of course he isn't. That would've been too easy, wouldn't it?

As for the boring parts of the episodes, because sadly there was a few of them - I'm not really sure if Vivian can be sustained an entire season and does anyone really care about Gabriel at this point? Then there's also Nate's tiresome vendetta against Tegan, which I'm hoping doesn't result in the latter being vilified and of course, Frank falling into the most obvious of traps during his search for Laurel, which is another story that needs to come to an end if Karla Souza isn't returning to the show.

- We found out in this episode that Tegan is married/trying to divorce a woman named Cora. She also seems to be not holding back on her attraction to Annalise as well.
- Asher is in desperate need of a storyline this season. This episode was mostly him being a sycophant for Michaela and little else.
- Cute little moment with Oliver mildly flirting with Frank as he also tried to get more insight into the latter's relationship with Bonnie.
- Chronology: Not long from where the previous episode left off.

Do You Think I'm A Bad Man? isn't strictly a boring episode but it did have some rather boring moments in it (Frank, Gabriel, Nate, etc). Other than that, I did like the main cases, I'm enjoying the flash forwards and any scene with Annalise and Tegan is a highlight this final season.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x02: "Vivian's Here"

Written by Michael Russo
Directed by Mike Smith

Vivian (to Annalise): "Who the hell did you piss off this time?"

Well, as the title revealed - Vivian is in fact here but we knew that from last week. This week though, our main players are privy to her presence and are largely convinced that she's working with the FBI. In reality, she's mostly here to get Gabriel back and go over some old wounds with Annalise, the latter of which she was more successful at doing.

I did enjoy the scenes with Vivian and Annalise as both women went over their history with Sam and the fact that latter was the other woman in the trio. Of course, I'm getting the impression that despite airing their issues, Vivian will continue to be a problem for Annalise and the Keating 5 and perhaps Frank should've let Annalise deal with Vivian when the latter had the chance.

Of course when we weren't going over the issues of Sam, Annalise also dropped the bombshell to Vivian that Gabriel killed an ex-boyfriend named Paul. I have to admit I must have zoned out during the time when Gabriel mentioned that to Michaela but no doubt that little revelation is also going to put their relationship at odds too.

Speaking of Michaela, this was a bit of a big episode for her. In the flashfoarwards she seems to be in the frame for Annalise's "murder" with her fingerprints found on the murder weapon in question while in the present she's furious with Annalise for not revealing about knowing her father and in the present day, Michaela's anger only intensified all the more when it turned out that her father died a year ago.

While this does provide a motive for Michaela to be a suspect, I really don't think it'll be her at all. Then again, I'm still largely unconvinced that Annalise is actually dead but it's still interesting enough to see every week what motive other characters will have for "killing" her though.

Then there's the Laurel segment of the piece. After my review for last week's premiere went up, it was announced that Karla Souza had left the series, so whatever is going on with this really does need to be resolved. At this rate, I think Laurel just took her son, legged it and took the evidence that Wes had in that safety deposit box for her own protection. I'm hoping this plotline will finish up soon so that Frank can have another purpose this season.

- Tegan, Connor and Asher worked on the main case of the week involving an immigrant boy being mistreated by ICE. Connor gave one hell of a passionate speech in court.
- If we're going down the Nate vs. Tegan path, then I'm on the latter's side. Oh and Bonnie lost her job this week.
- Apparently Viola Davis wrote the last scene that Annalise and Vivian shared this week. I wonder if there's a chance that she can write an episode for this last season.
- Chronology: A few days after the events of the first episode of the season.

Vivian's Here mostly felt like a filler and it did seem rather unsatisfying to have Michaela's father be dead off screen but the Connor scenes as well as Annalise's moments with both Vivian and Tegan certainly elevated the episode a little though.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 6x01: "Say Goodbye"

Written by Sarah L. Thompson
Directed by Stephen Cragg

Annalise (to Sally): "My name's Annalise Keating. People think I murdered my husband. I didn't but I helped cover it up."

When it was announced a few months ago that the sixth season was going to be it's last, it felt right. The show has been a fun, madcap ride since it's debut in 2014 but the time has come for the show to end and if this opening episode is anything to go by, this is going to be a messy last season.

Is it a shock that perhaps Annalise wouldn't survive this season? Maybe not in some ways, considering the messes she's been cleaning up and getting into since the beginning but the opening and last scenes certainly were a little bit surprising in a way.

This episode alone Michaela made a veiled threat to kill Annalise after it was revealed that the latter knew the former's birth father but I can't see Michaela being the one to actually kill Annalise. Assuming of course that Annalise actually dies and there isn't some twist along the way, undoubtedly. It can't be that simple really.

Annalise did spend a good portion of this episode in a fancy rehab, working on her demons after spiraling from the news of Emmett's death and Laurel's disappearance. The rehab scenes are done reasonably well enough with Annalise contending with a rather annoying roommate in Sally, though the latter did get a little more interesting when she confessed to hating her children. Other than that, I'm glad that she was a one off character, well at least I hope she was.

As for Annalise - rehab was a good way to get her to exorcise some demons and she even turned it around by getting Connor, Oliver, Asher and Michaela to effectively do the same thing and essentially forget about Laurel. I was hoping this episode would give us something on Laurel's whereabouts but it didn't and even Annalise herself seems to have given up on Laurel for the time being.

As for the rest of the episode - we got some sexy times with Connor and Oliver as well as Michaela and Gabriel, Asher doled out some decent love advice, Frank and Bonnie were trying to keep things together in Annalise's absence and Nate turned his attentions on to Tegan and the fact that Emmett's body was taken away to London and his results came back with no foul play. Nate versus Tegan might be interesting to watch for a while.

- It seems that Gabriel's mother is going to be another problem for Annalise to deal with as she's spying on her son.
- Aside from removing Emmett, there aren't any major regular cast additions this season.
- Laurel's voice was heard but she wasn't physically in the episode. I hope they don't drag her disappearance out for too long.
- Chronology: Not long since the events of the previous season finale.

Say Goodbye certainly seems like it's preparing us for the end but I can't help but shake the feeling that we've got an obvious twist awaiting us. I'm not convinced that Annalise is actually dead but I am intrigued enough to see what will lead to that funeral sequence though. I'm also hoping the Laurel bit isn't dragged out as well but other than that, a great start to the season.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 5x15: "Please Say No One Else Is Dead"

Written by Joe Fazzio
Directed by Stephen Cragg

Laurel: "Annalise, you’ve done so much to protect me, so I just wanna say thank you."

And with that ending, I guess the full focus on the Castillos really will be even more prominent than it was in the fourth season. On the other hand, while Xavier is a nasty piece of work, he is rather nice to look at, so he's got that going for him as well as being someone both Miller and Annalise in flashbacks and the present day chose to underestimate.

I did like that Miller was proved to be a good man who tried to save Nate's father even if Frank forced the guard to tell Bonnie that her boyfriend was in fact involved in Nate Sr being killed after all. There's no way that's not going to come back to bite Frank in the backside next season, even if he was trying to help both Bonnie and Nate live with the fact that they killed an innocent man.

Speaking of Nate - he's now in prison too for assault. Why do I get the feeling the show is trying to tell us that he might have similar mental health problems to his father and why do I get the feeling that he's a potential casualty next season? Then again, maybe he should as I'm not sure what else the show can really do with the character these days.

Getting back to Xavier though - I think he was telling the truth to Laurel about not being involved in Sandrine's disappearance, which hopefully is not something that will be dragged out next season but at the same time, he's definitely working with the Governor and their Plan B also coincided with Emmett being under fire and subsequently poisoned in this episode, even after Tegan had thrown him a brief life line of sorts. Although I don't really want Emmett to die, his death would also not be a big loss to the show either.

As for Laurel's disappearance though with Christopher - it seems to me that she's doing something misguided in order to protect everyone else rather than being another victim of her family yet again. Then again with the twists and turns of this show, perhaps Xavier feeling slighted from his encounter with Annalise and clear daddy issues maybe did do something to her after all. Hopefully next season won't drag that one out.

As for Gabriel - I was kind of hoping this episode would write him out but due to Telesco's insistence on dragging his mother into things and the show's desire to explore a Gabriel/Michaela pairing, it looks like Rome Flynn will be sticking around for another year. Character wise, I don't really think Gabriel has added a lot to the show but maybe next season can improve on him a little, writing wise.

- I think it's obvious they're going to explore a baby/adoption storyline with Connor and Oliver next season. Story wise, I'd rather not but it felt like it was being set up here.
- Michaela's biological father, Dwight is someone that Annalise used to know. I assume we'll be seeing both Dwight and Gabriel's mother next season.
- Asher to say the episode title this week when he didn't play a role in Telesco getting fired from the FBI. He does need some better material next season.
- Chronology: From where the previous episode left off.

Please Say No One Else Is Dead is probably the weakest finale we've had and while there were some decent twists here and there, it didn't quite have the punch that previous finales have had. I do personally think that the sixth season probably should be the show's last one, and it's quite possible that it will be.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 5x14: "Make Me The Enemy"

Written by Erika Harrison & Matthew Cruz
Directed by Mike Smith

Emmett (to Annalise, re Nate Sr): "I didn't kill that man."

And thanks to that last scene, we know that Emmett is telling the truth. However going by the trailer for next week's finale, it does however appear that Emmett might end up taking the fall nonetheless. On the other hand, how great was Timothy Hutton this episode?

I haven't really talked about his acting a lot this season and I've been a little back and forth on the character but I have to admit that with this episode alone, he put in a season performance as both him and Viola Davis played off each other so well during that confrontation scene in Annalise's apartment during the final few minutes of this episode.

All episode long, we had Tegan (who I do want to believe is on Annalise's side) encouraging Annalise to use her "gifts" in order to extract a confession of guilty from Emmett and Annalise did exactly that with dressing up at work and the dinner scene with Emmett as well. I do think Emmett's feelings are genuinely real and while I don't want a pairing with him and Annalise, I did actually feel bad for the guy as he realised that Annalise thought he was a murder suspect.

I think during their argument, both Annalise and Emmett made some rather harsh if fair points about the other's foibles and while I am a little relieved that Emmett is not a killer, it does mean that once again, we're having things tie back to Laurel's family as Nate Sr's mystery lawyer has been revealed to her older brother, Xavier and with a certain gift given to Laurel, you can see where the next season will be going for problems with Annalise and the Keating 5.

Going to be honest, I'm not really thrilled with revisiting Laurel's family yet again, though I'm not entirely shocked it's happening there. There was always going to be consequence to sending her father down and with her mother being missing for most of this season, it does make sense to revisit it. I just hope it doesn't eat up much of next season like it did in the fourth season though.

As for the rest of the episode - after this one, Gabriel can definitely be on the next bus out of here and soon. All season long, he's failed to really add anything to the show and while he does have a right to know what happened to Sam, the show killed any chance of rooting for him and Michaela when he projected his own issues onto her. On the other hand, I did like getting a little more insight into Michaela's past.

As for the laptop subplot - Oliver's methods of getting his laptop by essentially guilt tripping a judge were pretty damn effective and it's nice to see one of his less shady plans go off smoothly as well. It also bought the gang some time and clued them in on the fact that Telesco (who despite being suspended is still predictably a thorn in their side) had quite the profile on the lot of them. Then again, I can see Telesco going the same way Sinclair did next week.

- Nice to see Bonnie apologising to Laurel while Frank really does prove how much he cares for Christopher with his scenes.
- Emmett mentioned plans of running for DA and considering what happened to the previous two, you'd think that would put anyone off the job.
- Asher had some good moments, being supportive to both Michaela and Bonnie but next season, the show does need to give him a decent storyline.
- Chronology: From where the previous episode left off.

Make Me The Enemy is a strong penultimate episode. While I still do have reservations about Laurel's family reemerging as antagonists for next season, at least we can rule out Emmett as Nate Sr's killer and I'm sure by next week, we'll have a few cast changes as well for the next season to boot.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 5x13: "Where Are Your Parents?"

Written by Maya Goldsmith & Daniel Robinson
Directed by DeMane Davis

Governor Birkhead (to Annalise): "I know who killed Nate Lahey Sr and you know him to."

Well, the answer might not be satisfying but assuming that Birkhead isn't actually playing Annalise here, then it seems that Emmett actually was the one to bump off Nate's dad. And just when I was starting to like the character as well. If he did it just because of his infatuation with Annalise, that makes it even far creepier than ever.

Speaking of crushes, while Emmett is willing to kill for one, Tegan is somewhat willing to seduce Telesco and get her discredited in order to buy Annalise some more time, which is interesting. Look, I'm not saying the show should have Annalise and Tegan become a couple next season but I'm also not saying they shouldn't either. The upside is this though - Tegan is more friend than foe for Annalise and that can only be a good thing.

Keeping with the Annalise side of things - this episode was a rather festive one with Ophelia appearing once and the show making sure to give us some genuinely meaty and heartfelt scenes with Viola Davis and Cicely Tyson as the latter gave Anna Mae some sound advice on how to deal with her latest legal woe while entertaining everyone else during the dinner.

I really do love that this show always managed to get Ophelia in a few episodes each season and every scene she's in never fails to be a delight to watch. Ophelia really does bring out the best in Annalise, even when the latter disagrees with her and seeing both Viola and Cicely in scenes together is just fantastic.

As for Nate, he can breathe a little easy for the time being as Annalise didn't have to say anything that could put him in the FBI's attention but as for Bonnie, well she spent most of the episode nearly cracking up while also worrying about being pregnant. She did tell Frank that she wasn't and hopefully she's not, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that is she is pregnant as we head towards the finale.

Then there was Christmas with the Keating 5 and Gabriel, which was also not full of merry cheer. We had Pam showing up and Connor having to tell her some of what happened when we weren't getting reminders of her hook up with Asher and Pam's own scathing commentary on everyone else not having a parent around. I did like a certain scene with Connor and his mother, but other than that, Pam kind of was in embarrassing mother mode in this one.

- Of course Laurel kept the blanket and made a phone call to Telesco. Gabriel also made a point about Michaela not wanting to look into her own biological family as well.
- I assume we're going to see Gabriel's mother soon enough. It does feel like we should be getting one confrontation scene with her and Annalise before the season ends.
- Pam actually let Connor as a teenager have sex with an adult in her house. This does explain some of her own boundary issues I guess.
- Chronology: Christmas time for the show. This is the second time they've had a Christmas episode on the show.

Where Are Your Parents will not go down as the most festive of Christmas episodes and it does feel a little jarring watching one of those in February, but it's easily the strongest episode we've had since the show's return last month. Some genuinely brilliant scenes, with the Annalise/Ophelia ones being the clear highlight and a nice twist at the end too. This should bode well for the last two.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 5x12: "We Know Everything"

Written by Michael Russo & Sarah L. Thompson
Directed by Jennifer Getzinger

Frank (to Nate): "There's a world in where you're okay with what you did."

Another week, another good but not too exciting episode. This time around, it seems that Gabriel being arrested had something to do with his protesting past before quickly turning into the FBI's desperate attempts to get him to be a mole on Annalise. Predictable and also a little on the disappointing end of the scale.

The back and forth with Gabriel, Annalise and the Keating lot got a little tiresome in the episode, even if they all had points when it came to tearing lumps out of the others. The Keating do have the right not to trust Gabriel as does Annalise, given the way in which Gabriel confessed about being Sam's son.

Saying that, Gabriel himself is allowed to want answers about what happened to his father and given that no-one is willing to tell him the truth for obvious reasons, it's not surprising that he had been working with Miller. As for his double agent thing with the FBI, that can only go badly wrong for him in the remaining three episodes of the season.

Speaking of the FBI - that agent really does have it out for Annalise, huh? Well, she's hardly the first but this episode she did spend most of her time working both Gabriel and Tegan as sources to get something on Annalise with the latter only being too aware that both could pose a potential threat to her. I did like however that Annalise vouched for Tegan, even if it meant attracting Emmett's suspicions as well.

As for the rest of the episode, the gang almost thought they were free from suspicion until an Instagram photos courtesy of Connor's mother showed both Nate and Miller arguing with each other while the latter's body was finally found and Bonnie also had some quality time with Miller's mother. It did seem this week that Bonnie was handling things better, even if her and Annalise clashed over trusting Miller and Gabriel respectively.

- Looks like Michaela is going to go there with Gabriel again, while the show keeps alluding to both Emmett and Tegan being into Annalise.
- Nice that we got some bonding scenes with Nate and Frank in this episode but the moment where Annalise blew up at them and Bonnie felt a bit off to me.
- Standout music: Nice use of Placebo's version of Running Up That Hill.
- Chronology: From where the previous episode more or less left off.

We Know Everything was a decent enough episode but like last week, was lacking a little. At this rate, I'm not too bothered how this whole Miller death story is going to be resolved. I think compared to past fall outs from the big mystery death, this just hasn't been as compelling to watch.

My Review of How To Get Away With Murder's 5x11: "Be The Martyr"

Written by Matthew Cruz
Directed by Alrick Riley

Annalise (to the Keating 5): "The governor killed Miller."

After two rather enjoyable episodes, this one left me a little cold. It's strange because while the episode actually did advance some plotlines, it also felt rather filler-ish to watch nonetheless but let's break it down into a few parts.

First of all, it looks like Nate's instincts about Miller were right enough as it found out that the latter messed about with evidence in relation to Nate Sr's case and while the FBI looked like they were about to actually arrest Nate at the end of this one, it seems they've got someone else in custody and that Nate might be able to work with them after all.

The person could either be Gabe or Bonnie. The former, due to his association with Miller now being known to the FBI while the latter's guilt in her role in her boyfriend's death was damaging her mental health. There was even one scene in the episode where Frank had to save Bonnie from ending it all in her car. No wait, it can only be Gabe given that this episode ended with Bonnie lying in Frank's bed.

Then there was Laurel, who was on the warpath over whether or not Christopher actually witnessed Ron's death. Laurel more or less spent this episode in serious mother hen with Michaela forced to be the one to calm her down while Connor only heightened Laurel's paranoia at one point here. Not that Laurel doesn't have a right to be concerned about her child witnessing a murder but even still, the scenes just dragged a little bit.

Speaking of the Keating  lot - Michaela once again managed to get herself on Tegan's shitlist over the handling of Nate and Asher spent a lot of the episode trying to defend Bonnie from everyone else with only Oliver offering him any kind of supporting. Then there was the sniping at Gabriel, which even now is starting to wear a little thin.

As for Annalise, when she wasn't trying to be there for both Nate and Bonnie and keeping the kids in line, she was also getting around to sorting out Emmett's own lawsuit as well. Subplot wise, it was okay enough and Emmett's ex-lover didn't seem that horrible either but other than that, it wasn't the most exciting of storylines either.

- It seems that Tegan is working for the FBI as we saw her contact that agent after reading up about Miller's disappearance.
- Emmett made a suggestive comment that makes me wonder if he's going to try it on with Annalise in a later episode this season.
- Are Connor and Oliver ever get going to go on their honeymoon before the season ends?
- Chronology: From where the previous episode left off.

Be The Martyr had it's moments but just wasn't quite as dynamic for me as I wished it could've been. I did like the reveal about Tegan and I guess the Annalise/Emmett subplot broke up the Miller bits reasonably well but other than that, it did feel a bit too filler at times.
