Dexter - Season 8 Will Be It's Last

Well, it's not a shocker but it's finally been confirmed that the upcoming eighth season of Dexter will be it's final one. The show, about a serial killer who has mainly killed bad guys for the last several years was confirmed by CBS president and CEO, Les Moonves as the show's final season.

The eighth season will see further guest stars such as  Rhys Coiro, Nick Gomez as well as Sean Patrick Flannery and Charlotte Rampling as private eye Jacob Elroy and a neuro-psychaitrist, both of whom could spell trouble for Dexter and Deb. Aimee Garcia will also be a regular in the final season as Jamie as well.

I have to admit that while it's kind of sad to see the show end, I think it's a good thing as well. Dexter has undeniably been one of Showtime's biggest and best of programmes but with eight seasons under it's belt, now probably is a good time to end things while the show is still good.

Season 8 News:

Dexter's eighth season will air on Showtime, Sundays at 9pm from June 30th.
