The Americans is an upcoming series, starring Matthew Rhys (Brothers & Sisters, The Mystery Of Edwin Drood) and Keri Russell (Felicity, Mission Impossible 3) as a pair of KGB spies in the Cold War era, posing as a married American couple, Philip and Elizabeth Jennings, keeping secrets from their children and friends while managing a network of spies and informants in Washington, DC.
The series, due to begin filming in October, will have a first season of 13 episodes is created and executive-produced by Joe Weisberg a former CIA employee and a writer for Falling Skies and will also feature Noah Emmerich as an FBI agent, who's a neighbour of the secretive Jennings family. This definitely sounds like a worthwhile series to start watching next year.
